French lavender (cantueso) honey
Lavandula stoechas (v Portugalsku i L. pedunculata)
Single-flower honey from wild French lavender, called „cantueso“ in Spain and „rosmaninho“ in Portugal. It is light, from straw to amber; under the „Miel de Granada“ PDO it may not exceed 50 mm on the Pfund scale.

Colour varies by year and place; the value given is typical.
In one Spanish study, more than half of the honeys sold as cantueso turned out, on pollen analysis, to come mainly from other plants, chiefly viper's bugloss.
