Logwood honey
Haematoxylum campechianum
A light golden honey from the small yellow flowers of the logwood tree. It is one of Jamaica’s main honey sources, with the main flow usually from January to March.
Colour varies by year and place; the value given is typical.
Logwood timber was once shipped to Europe as a source of dye; the honey from its flowers is now a Jamaican speciality.
